To maintain quality, consistency, and credibility, all contributors must adhere to the guidelines outlined here.
Purpose of the SAED Blog
Our content is built around three key objectives:
- Inform corps members about NYSC and SAED-related processes
- Educate them on skills, entrepreneurship, and career development
- Empower them to take action and build sustainable income streams
Every article you write should align with at least one of these goals.
Approved Content Categories
All submissions must fall under one of the following categories. Each category has a specific focus to ensure clarity, relevance, and value to our audience.
Category 1:
Getting Started
Description:
Content in this category helps new corps members navigate the early stages of their NYSC journey. This includes guidance on posting, documentation, settling into a new environment, and understanding expectations at their Place of Primary Assignment (PPA).
Category 2:
Skills & Training Opportunities
Description:
This category focuses on exposing corps members to available skill acquisition opportunities within and beyond SAED. Articles should highlight practical skills, training programs, and how to get started with learning income-generating skills.
Category 3:
Entrepreneurship & Business Development
Description:
Content here should guide corps members on how to start, manage, and grow a business. This includes business ideas, planning, execution strategies, pricing, and scaling within the Nigerian economic context.
Category 4:
Digital Skills & Remote Work
Description:
This category covers online and technology-driven opportunities. Articles should focus on digital skills, freelancing, remote jobs, and how corps members can earn income using the internet and global platforms.
Category 5:
Success Stories & Case Studies
Description:
This category shares real-life experiences, journeys, and lessons from corps members or young entrepreneurs. The goal is to inspire, educate, and provide practical insights through storytelling and documented outcomes.

Career & Employability
Description:
Content should focus on helping corps members prepare for employment. This includes CV writing, interview preparation, personal branding, job search strategies, and transitioning from NYSC to the workforce.

Description:
This category addresses mindset, discipline, and self-improvement. Articles should help corps members manage their time effectively, set goals, stay consistent, and build habits that support long-term success.
Category 8:
SAED Guides & How-To Resources
Description:
This category provides step-by-step, practical guidance. Content should be instructional in nature—helping readers take specific actions such as registering for SAED, accessing opportunities, or implementing business and skill-based processes.
Writing Standards
Originality
- All content must be 100% original
- Plagiarism is strictly prohibited
- Do not copy from blogs, social media, or AI tools without proper rewriting and value addition
Length
- Minimum: 600 words
- Recommended: 800–1,200 words
Clarity and Simplicity
- Write in clear, simple English
- Avoid unnecessary jargon
- Use short paragraphs and easy-to-read sentences
